HELP please.........

So my task today on my day off is to call hotels and inquire about blocking hotel rooms for my OOT guests. Whats the best way to go about doing this? Im looking to block out somewhere between 15-20 rooms. Do they usually give a pretty significant discount? Do you have to leave a deposit to hold the rooms? TIA!

i used www.HotelPlanner.com it was great. it's like putting out a bid for your hotel. you tell them what you want, then they give you a list of hotels and their prices. i got my hotel for $109 per night for 15 rooms. you dont owe anything, but the rooms must be booked by a month before the wedding otherwise they dont hold them anymore.
