Help Please!!!!

My FH and I had decided no Christmas presents because the wedding is right after and we owe all our final payments. Well I found out he didn't stick to his end of the bargain and got me something He also told me he showed my sister and BIL so I'm sure it's something really nice.(I was eyeballing diamond earrings) HELP what should I get him?

Here's an important question: Do you want 'no presents' agreements to never hold? Do you think that maybe he is excited to be getting you something, knowing he isn't getting anything in return? Personally, I'd stick to the agreement, look shocked (and grateful) if he shows up with something, and make it up to him on the next occassion. The reasons why you made the agreement in the first place haven't change - money is still tight. Both of you spending lavishly is careless. If you absolutely can't stand the thought of not giving him anything, why not a gift from the heart (IE, handmade gift, made-up certificates for massages, etc) instead of the wallet?
