So I am in a pickle. I am in the Briar Fox for my reception but I am just having doubts with that room. I just not in love with it. Its nice and looks good but I really love the Garden Terrace but that means I can't have the Winter Garden for my cocktail hour which I love.
So I am thinking about changing it if I can get them to lower the minimum for the bigger room.
What do u girls think?

I agree with Alyssa. Don't settle. You don't want to have any regrets on your wedding day. If you can make it happen, I'd do it.

i had the same doubts about briar fox but my minimum is only 110 so theres no way i could go with the bigger room.
i would suggest going to look at the room again when its set up for a wedding it actually looks so nice. and just think how pretty the fire place will look in january! if you still have your doubts ask maybe they can upgrade you to the larger room .. maybe you will be the only wedding they have that day and you could do WGP and the larger room if thats the case!
and you cant switch!!! we're ring twins and hall twins!!!

also PLEASE try to work something out with them if you do decide to do it. apparently my cousin paid for 50-75 extra people just to have it in the big room and regrets it 100% 8 years later

I must change my mind about something wedding related every other day. It's YOUR wedding and YOUR money. You are paying them for a service. If you don't like something change it. It's not bridezilla if you're nice about it and they work with you... It's called getting what you paid for

I would say go with the room that you loved. Thats what i did. I really wanted the Garden Terrace room but couldnt guarantee the 200 people, so i switched my date to june and in the afternoon! (this way i could also use the outside garden for my CH too!).

It can never hurt to ask...and if they wont bring down the minimum, def ask about moving into that room if they dont end up booking it!

I would speak to them and see what they can do. Be honest and tell them how you feel... hopefully they'll listen and help you out. It doesnt hurt to just ask

If you don't love it then change it immediately! I agree with everyone else, RH's can be very accommodating and I've learned it never hurts to ask!

def doesnt hurt to ask...if the room doesnt get booked maybe they can move you despite the minimum. you're only gonna do this once so do it right and make sure you are 100% confident in it. i have a vendor that i am not 100% confident in and it irks me all the time...you would never want that feeling with the most important part--the hall
