Re: Help PLease..
ettiquete dictates that your registry location should be a word of mouth thing - guest should ask your MOH, mother, etc. If you have a website in addition to an online registry maybe you could get away with enclosing something telling guests to check out your website, but anything other than that I think might be seen as pushy or tacky, IMO.

I agree with allure. I do not think you should put your registry card as well.

Re: Help PLease..
I wouldn't do it. STD letting people know your getting married, it's not a party or anything gift related. I personally feel that that information should only be sent for bridal showers (someone else letting people know). If you want to register a little bit for an engagement party do so, but don't let anyone know unless they actually ask if you are.

I wouldn't oput the registry card in it, if people want to get you a gift they will call your mom to ask where you are registered!

Re: Help PLease..
i wouldn't do it. but if you really want to pass on the registry info i'd suggest creating a website and putting that link on the STD and maybe having a registry link on there?

Re: Help PLease..
skip the registry cards. We got a newletter recently and they were very straight forward in saying where they were registered (they didn't say much about their plans besides the church, hall, and hotel and registry).
It didn't bother me too much (I thought they could have found a softer way of saying it) but so many people commented on how tacky they felt it was.....people thought it was begging for gifts.

I think registry information should only be included with your shower invitations.

Re: Help PLease..
i agree with scoop, give the registry info to MOH to include in the shower invitation.... For now just let your mother, and FMIL know where you are registered.

Re: Help PLease..
I sent out STD magnets & newsletter simultaneously as well (newsletter to outta town guests only) But registry info was literally like 2 lines, almost an afterthought cuz there was so much other info on there already (airline/hotel/rental car info; wedding day info; etc.) It's also mentioned on our wedsite, addy on the magnets. Geez after reading this post hope we didn't seem too pushy cuz that wasn't the intention & we haven't gotten any complaints.
