So i went to meet with my florist on friday to drop off some $$ and i asked her if she could have a sample of my centepiece because i never got to see what it would look like because she said she didnt have all the flowers, so i go in OMG it was not what i had wanted, my theme for my wedding is fall which i told her she had purple, blue and yellow flowers and 2 oranger gerber and tons of green filler leaves, needless to say i was floored but she then proceeded to tell me and my mom how we need the contrasting colors and all this BS, (she is very pushy) so i told her that it wasnt what i had visioned she then tells me that its because i havent seen it in while and that i look like iwas stressed and need to calm down! So i will so i was stressed but for what she was charging me to walk into something that was definately not what i wanted, i was mad! but not nasty, so then i tell her i wanted wine gerber daises to go with my girls dresses, she said im not putting wine in this, excuse me so i started to get really pissed so my mom tells me to calm down and breathe and she starts telling me to calm down so i turn to my mom and say so the florist could here me, this is my wedding, im paying for this i want what i want, so now i m like i have to leave becausei can see that she is not understanding what i want !! i showed her pics before and everything so i decided one day this week im going with one of my fellow liweddings girl and we are going to go in with a pic and say I WANT THIS NO IF ANDS OR BUTS!! im paying for it and i want what i want !! now i found a pic of what i would like here it is it will be in a square cube vase with leaves wrapped at the bottom and so green millet which is not in this pic !! tell me what you think!! and wish me luck!!
Those roses are gorgeous. You definitely need to let this florist know who's the boss she can't push something on you that totally messes up your vision, i hope when you go back she understands and does what you say.

This is why it is so important to see a sample. I'm glad you saw it before your wedding and I think she was crazy to tell you she will not do what you want. I had a similar experience with a florist over the phone. He told me what I want was 'tacky' and will look bad, I told him I will take my business somewhere else. Good luck, I hope she will do what you want.

thanks girl im just nervous what i chose is too simple, it will be ina cube vase with leaves wrapping the stem with apricot rocks? is this centerpiece to simple?

I def don't think it is too simple. I love that it has great colors and shape. Of course I am biased b/c I am doing simple CPs too so I would just show her the pic and be clear about what you want. . but just on the other side. . I have a friend who is my florist and I suggested something and she said 'no, that will look awful' but she was totally right so I trusted her. but it does not sound like your florist handled your request for the wine flowers well. ..

You still have plenty of time to look through magazines and find a pic of exactly what you want then show that to her so there is no room for interprutation

I don't think it's too simple AT ALL. Simple yes, but if that is what you want then who gives a feck? I can't believe she would argue with you over something you are PAYING her to do. Since when is it her wedding???
Is she the manager/owner? If not, and she is still giving you problems, then demand to speak with someone above her. Bottom line is the company will not want to lose your business and by getting a higher up involved you should get what you want.

OMG.. im so sorry.. I hope that she does it for you... I really wanted to you a florist that people seem to like on here (they work out of their basement, not a storefront.. and they were just soooooo pushy! like i told them I want this and they were like oh well no, this would look better... and oh those flowers are too expensive and you wont be able to afford it.. I was like
this is my wedding! so i was like ok thank you and did not book with them
