HELP! Pop ups are invading my computer

all of a sudden every sec I get a new pop-up what do i do?? any suggestions?????

You can get pop up blocker software but an easy cheap (as in free) solution is to download the Google toolbar -- it has built in popup protection.
Chances are some spyware was downloaded onto your machine when you downloaded something else - so if you go to add/delete programs look and see if there is anything you do not recognize, then remove.

We used StopZilla. It was free for 20 days, I think. Then I think it was $20 for the year. It was well worth the money.

I think you can download Spybot on the net for free ... that's one of the things my LAN admin at work did on my laptop when I was having issues.

you might also want to download ad-aware to check for spyware (I run spybot and ad-aware daily and they usually find something everyday and I hardly ever go on other website except this one and couple of others )
