HELP! Pregnant and have a cold

I just got a cold and my nose is so stuffed! I'm afraid to take any medicine to relieve my suffering. Does anyone know of any cold medicine that's safe to take while you're pregnant or do I just have to suffer?

Sorry to hear you are under the weather. I am not a big believer that cold medicines do anything anyway, whether you are pregnant or not so I'd recommend just the chicken soup-decaf tea-plently of fluids route. But ask your doctor if you really want the best and safest information.

I whole-heartedly agree with Elizabeth...speak to your doctor ASAP. They will mostly want to make sure that you don't have an sinus infection or anything that might require antibiotics. Some medicines are safe during pregnancy, and won't harm the baby.

During my pregnancy, I had to take antibiotics for a bad sinus infection, AND on a separate occasion, I had to take Vicodin for a migraine. Your doctor will know best....just call.
