Invitation tissue on top Response on top of that in envelope, card facing up
Do the Church and RH directions go on top of that, or behind the invitation?
TIA!

Twin - i found this - hope it helps
Assembling and Stuffing the Envelopes
Basic rules for assembling and stuffing the wedding invitation envelopes:
1. Invitation down, text up.
2. Cover with tissue, if applicable.
3. Reception card on top of tissue, text up.
4. Affix postage to response card envelope and tuck response card under the flap.
5. Stack response card and the rest of the enclosures (rain card, map, etc) on top of reception card by size, placing the smallest enclosure on top of the stack.
6. Insert the invitation and all enclosures folded edge first, into the inner, ungummed envelope.
7. Place the ungummed envelope into the gummed outer envelope, with the guest's name facing the flap of the outer envelope.
Once you have assembled a sample invitation, complete with all enclosures, take it to the post office and weigh it to determine the proper amount of postage for each invitation. The postal service has some pretty cool stamps that you can use, with appropriate themes for a wedding invitation. For example check out the Victorian Love Stamps on this page, newly issued by the US Postal Service.
