I know a birth certificate (for now) is all that is needed to travel to Bermuda, but is an out of country birth certificate ok?
FH and I are planning a little trip and I was considering Bermuda, and know it's okay to go there w/ just a birth certificate, however, FH was not born here (Argentina). Would we be better off getting passports (which we're in the process of) or can he go w/ his Argentina birth certificate and NY Drivers License and his work ID (NYPD).
TIA!!

Re: Help! Question about travel?!
You should call your airline. It might be complicated. I know that if you are a US Citizen that a birth certificate and state issued ID are ok.
I would be safe and get passports especially for your FH. I think you would be okay, but he might have a problem.

Re: Help! Question about travel?!
hi kitty i called my friend who is a travel agent and she said it can be super complicated to go out of the country with a foreign birth certificate - you would be fine with your US birth certificate and photo ID but sebastian should have a passport - just for ease of use - otherwise he has to carry his origionals of his naturalization papers or his multiple entry visa in addition ot his birth certificate and photo ID hope that helps

get passports. they are trying to change it all to passports, so it's better to be safe . the birth cert is for us citizens.

Re: Help! Question about travel?!
When we were at the airport for our honeymoon and a couple did not have passports to go to the Bahamas and they did not let them go. THis was only 1mth. ago. They bumped them to a later flight. Even though people may say that you do not need a passport I would get one. We did and it took 4 weeks about $90 each. It is totally worth it.
