We're paying $750 too. We like him, so why not. This is going to be a very expensive half hour, though! The site fee is $300, and the rabbi $750. Not including the huppah, flowers, possibly an aisle runner...yikes. Whaddya gonna do, it's our wedding, right?
We're getting married at the reception site, so they're charging us for it. It's another half hour or so of their time, they have to set up and break down the chairs, etc. It's kind of a ripoff, but they do have to pay the salaries.
yes....that is reasonable. We paid $500 for a rabbi that actually bar mitzvah'd my husband.....and has officiated at many family events.......who should have been thrilled to do it. $600 is totally reasonable.
