Does anyone have any experience re: mortgages with these 3 banks. Their rates are competitive, but I want knowledgable consultants, and the ability to reach the same person when need be.

Washington Mutual...Very easy and we pay in the branch....We are very happy with them

My current mortgage is with Washington Mutual. I have been dealing with them to pay off my current mortgage and they have been fine. I havent spoken to the same person twice but they have everything in their system and the CSR's easily pick up on whats going on. The real test will be when they have to come up with my original stock certificate (my current mortgage is on a co-op). The loan originated with another bank and was recently moved to them through a merger.

When we bought our house we used WAMU for our mortgage. They were very easy to deal with - everything went so smooth as 1st time buyers. No problems. They even paid our taxes for us. The guy we met with was so nice and went over all our options because we didn't quite put 10% down but were still able to avoid PMI by paying a higher interest rate. But since then we have refinanced so we are no longer with them (lower rate)....
