Help! rh change?

Help! rh change?

I'm starting to doubt my rh choice. To begin with it was my third choice. 1st choice- they weren't sure if they were going to make it to 2010 2nd choice- Atlantica which I got a weird vibe from and passed on (and in hind sight am glad!). If I want to change it I only have two weeks to fall under the 6mo Suffolk county law. I'm so confused!! Has anyone changed their RH after putting down a deposit??

and also I'm looking at The Old Field club website and am falling in love

most places deposits are non refundable... if you are not happy though u have to do what makes you happy. If that means changing it and loosing a deposit.... it will be worth it. Trust your instinct

Your deposit is absolutely refundable before the 6 months. I switched my RH about a month and a half ago, and we got 100% of our money back. It was the best decision I ever made - I am soooo glad. Funny enough, when we made the switch, we almost went with the Old Field Club! It is great there - you should definitely go see it. You will be fine. If you're not completely comfortable, defnitely see what else is out there.

As an OFC girl, I would definitely recommend it. I love it there - everything about it gives me a good feeling! And it really does look exaclty like it does on the Web site....

what was/is your rh? just curious thats all

and you should do what makes you happy.... if you feel as if your settling, change it. Suffolk you get your $$ back

Honestly, do what makes YOU and FH happy. If you guys really don't like your RH, change it now before starting to make any additional payments. I know you can get your deposit back, or maybe half, but I am sure that it will also give you peace of mind knowing that you LOVE your new RH better...

good luck!

I think you should do what makes you happy!
how many people are you having at your wedding?
we looked at The Old Field club - but it only holds 120 people. they did not tell us that before we looked at it!

hope that helps

Re: Help! rh change?

OFC can definitely do 120 - I'm pretty sure I had to guarantee 130 for a Saturday night. They say their max is 170, but that will definitely be tight!

And I haven't seen Dockers, but it looks beautiful on the Web site. I think it all comes down to what makes you two happy!

I'm going to see it this weekend. Anything I should definitely ask or go see while I'm there?

Tom is very helpful. It seemed to be able to fit closer to 150 comfortably. Ask to see the room set up!

09er crashing, but I have to butt in to rave about OFC. The place is beautiful, that goes without saying. But on top of that, they are so nice to deal with. When I read about other people fighting with their RH over every little thing it makes me appreciate OFC so much more. They made the process so stress free and did an amazing job. Instead of charging extra for every little thing that's not in the contract, they three in all kinds of things for free at the last minute. Be warned, Tom can take a day or two to return phone calls and sometimes he comes off a little bit like he doesn't care. But when the wedding got closer and then on the day of, he went way beyond what I would have expected. Sorry for the long crashing post but I can't say enough good things about them!

You are going to LOVE Old Field Club!!!! It is my dream RH! We guaranteed 120 for a Saturday night so you should be fine. You should definitely go when the room is all set up for an event...when I saw it set up for the first time it truly took my breath away. Walking around I was completely able to envision my wedding there. If your appointment is earlier than the time they are setting up then ask if you can come back a little later before their event to walk around when it is all set up. That's what I did and it was so worth it! Keep us updated! I hope you love it as much as I do.

Re: Help! rh change?

I talked to Tom again last night and there's a wedding on Saturday (which is when my appointment is) so hopefully everything will be set up or in the process.

drivwal: the suffolk country law re RH is you can cancel and get your deposit back except for $100 if you cancel before 6mo
