HELP!! School/guidance counselors (or mental health counselors), please help!!

I am in a grad program for psychological counseling. With everything going on, I completely forgot that I have a professional interview paper due TOMORROW. Are any of you willing to just basically tell me what you do day to day and what your biggest struggles are?

(Please, I am desparate!! I thought we had a few guidance counselors out there!)

I have my Master in School Counseling. I went on a number of interviews. I wish you the best of luck. Just a warning, It can be difficult (and very competitive)but if you are prepared it makes it easier. I don't want to be negative but I want you to be prepared.

Basically they want to know what projects you have done on your internships, if you had a caseload and any interesting experiences you may have had.

For example, I had a caseload with at-risk students and I developed a program for middle school at-risk students to prepare them for high school. If you worked with varied populations (age, different cultural groups) that is a plus. Remember all the experiences you had as an intern (scheduling, college applications etc.).

It is extremely important to know your prospective school district. Look at the school report cards and visit their website.
