okay so in March we picked Sherwood Triart as our photographer. work in the studio looked great. now that I'm looking at reviews I'm seeing that I love Thomas Paul photography better even showing one of my closest friend she's like that's more your favorite style then sherwood. no ones pictures look like the stuff we saw in the studio. one girl even complained it wasn't artistic at all.
I'm so worried now. I don't want typical standard photos. I want artistic. I don't know what to do. even one of the reviews it's our room at Jericho Terrace, and my fh was like wow why didn't we go with them? lol. has anyone ever changed photographers? does anyone know any price quotes from Thomas Paul photography? *sighs* maybe i'm just being a typical paranoid future bride. it's really bothering me though.

Hey there CH Twin! I am also going with Sherwood. Of all the pictures we loved, sherwood did them all! I, much like you, enjoy the photojournalistic photo's as well. I trusted Sherwood b/c they had amazing portfolio's of work they have done there... they know the CH hall (which was important to FH and I). Only you know what you want. If you think a different photgrapher is the way to go, then do it, but it is normal to second guess things, especially the photographer... they capture your day!

i was just in there today and they have absolutely gorgeous/artistic photographs all over their studio and on the video screens...
dont be nervous, go with your gut... and stop checking out other photographers! youll just make yourself nuts!

Im sorry to hear this but I know how you feel. At first I had a hard time deciding on my photo/video. I looked at many places. I really wanted ST, but you are right his pics are not artsy, and the package I wanted just didnt have a lot of things offered to me and was very pricey but their work and studio was amazing. Then I realized alot of the photo places I visited their work was not artsy but TP work did stand out and is very diff so I choose TP to shoot me. I know how you feel its sooo tough. Have you given any deposits to ST yet, if you really want to cancel them then talk to them or read their contract to see what are the procedures to cancel. Do what you feel is right? Have you visited TP yet? I love him for all the diff work that he does and he has video too. FM me if you want TP prices or if you want to talk more

I don't know what to do. my fh thinks i'm just worried and second guessing myself. I just think st looks so plain compared to tp. I want artsy stuff. st looked so great in their studio. the reviews online are not the kind of photos i'm into. some pictures even look worse then my $300 digital camera takes!

I used Sherwood-Triart and I'll admit that I was a little disappointed that they didn't take some shots that I wanted. However, I never gave them a list of shots, and I'm sure they would have taken things if I had asked (the day of my head was spinning so I wasn't really thinking about what pictures were being taken and what were not). I only posted a few pictures on my review, which I'll admit are not the best of. I'm currently living in China and my proofs are in storage at home, otherwise I'd scan more in to show you. Most of my proofs were phenomenal. Don't worry, they definitely know what they're doing.
That being said, I just checked out Thomas Paul's photographs and they are wonderful. You really have to go with your gut.

I decided to book TP because of how artistic his pics are. Why dont you give him a call just to ask if he's available on your day. He may not be and that would make your decision easier.

yeah I loved that one of your dress by st. my fiance thinks i'm just being paranoid. well that's good to hear. so they did a good job? that actually makes me feel a lot better.
