HELP! The Zone or Nutrisystem

I use nutrisystem and never had a problem with them charging the wrong amount. Some of the food is not so good but most of it I like. What I like about nutrisystem is that it is all prepackaged - so they portion control is built in. When I was doing it strictly I lost a bunch of weight. I am currently trying to get my butt in gear again!

I actually did the Zone a few months ago - the one where they deliver the food to your door in the middle of night like little elves with gourment food

As for the food, it was hit or miss with a lot of the lunches and dinners. The breakfasts and snacks were pretty tasty though - french toast with orange ricotta was a favorite of mine. Also, they would give you donuts as a snack from this place in NYC called Holey Donuts and those were fantastic. But, one BIG problem is that I specifically told them that I was allergic to walnuts and mushrooms and two meals during the first week had both ingredients. Luckily, I'm not severely allergic, but if you have any food allergies, it's something that needs to be stressed to them. To their credit, however, they credited my account for the meals that had those ingredients.

Lastly, I actually GAINED weight on it (probably because I had been doing a very low-carb diet for months before that and my body wasn't used to having 40% carbs). It is a good diet for teaching portion control, however, because often times pre-Zone, I would think that I needed more to feel full. Their meals are small but they are satisfying. You won't be full but you won't be hungry either.

If you're on the fence about it, I would try the 7 day program to see if you like it and go from there. I did the one month and, like I said, was disappointed with the weight gain and a lot of the dinners. It was really great having something to look forward to in the mornings though, like 'Oh! What did I get today??!!'
