We tipped ours $520 (which was about $3 a person).

Re: Help! Tipping the Banquet Manager...
$250 was her fee already added into the contract and we gave her an extra $300 on top of that.

Re: Help! Tipping the Banquet Manager...
WHOA!!!!
I did not tip my banquet manager. I KNOW that he made a cut out of my per head fee.
But, I did tip my Maitre D $300 because he did an excellent job- he even got down on one knee to present my mom with her surprise birthday cake!

Re: Help! Tipping the Banquet Manager...
I know that we need to tip the Maitre D, but the banquet manager????? I don't know about that. I feel that every person who is involved in my wedding planning needs to be tip. When does this tipping stops

Banquet Manager is usually the person you met with to book the hall, gave payments to, have meeting with about menu, give final head count to and final payment too.
Maitre D is the person who is 'in charge' of your wedding. Kind of overseer of the goings on.
Am I right?

Yup, the Maitre D is basically the 'head waiter' at the wedding reception...

Re: Help! Tipping the Banquet Manager...
You do NOT need to tip the BM, they make a commission for booking your party.
