I am in the process of booking our honeymoon... I found a website that has the cheapest rate. However, it is a few hundred dollars less than a regular travel agent who says I should be weary. Is she right? Is it too good to be true? Has anyone booked online???

Re: HELP!!! Travel Agent ???
a sandals HM is a sandals HM no matter where you book it. sometimes i get nervous on-line with hotel reservations b/c you don't know the area around it, the condition, etc. but a resort is a resort!! i'm sure you'll be fine.

Re: HELP!!! Travel Agent ???
I shouldn't be nervous that I am paying for something that doesn't exist??? A too good to be true 'fake' reservation or something? The travel agent made me crazy! I was so happy! BUZZKILL!

Re: HELP!!! Travel Agent ???
call sandals and confirm that they got your reservation. put it on a credit card, so if god forbid anything happens, you have proof of payment

I agree, call Sandals and make sure that they deal with that company. BTW, my friends went there for their hm and absolutely loved it!

Re: HELP!!! Travel Agent ???
Call Liberty Travel in Sayville and speak with Nicole, ask her to get the prices for you, and see what the difference is between your price and hers, I ahve been using her forever, and someone else on this site used her too. She won't steer you wrong.

Re: HELP!!! Travel Agent ???
the travel agent is just trying to scare you into booing with her so she gets the commission - that is what the difference in price is

Re: HELP!!! Travel Agent ???
I have heard great things about Ellen at In and Out Travel. She is a vendor on this site. Give her a call. She is in Lindenhurst. Her number is (631) 226-2871.

Re: HELP!!! Travel Agent ???
I have booked trips to Ireland, Belize, Iceland, and many destinations throughout the U.S., never having a problem. I've booked airfare, hotels, and rental cars as well as complete packaged trips and never had a problem. I agree with the comment regarding commission. Don't let it scare you.

Re: HELP!!! Travel Agent ???
If you're nervous about the site, check them out with the BBB. I booked our HM via the internet & that report helped me decide. I was able to get 2 extra days on the net compared to the price quoted by my regular Liberty Travel agent in Queens.
Check tihs site: www.allaboardcruises.com - maybe you can get a good rate & Lauren deals w/Sandals too. Good luck!
Edited to say: ITA that your local TA may be trying to scare/scam you into using her instead of someone else, internet or not!

Re: HELP!!! Travel Agent ???
I would book through that website. I checked the website out and it didn't seem unbelievably low - the travel agent is probably overcharging you or can't get that price.
