help! vendors?

Hey guys! i'm new to the board here....thinking our wedding will be in May 2012. We recently started looking at a bunch of places.

but i was wondering if any1 could give me ideas as to how much vendor prices range? or what the average is? i've heard DJ's can be 2,000 or 3,000 is that accurate? and photographers can be 3,000 to 5,000 is that accurate? what about limos? and flowers? (not centerpieces tho) thanks so much!

also, if any1 can tell me about Jericho Terrace's vendors prices that would be great!

Photographers prices are right - depending on what you are looking for, it can go a little lower or MUCH higher.

DJ prices can be lower than that...also depending on how elaborate you need.

Flowers are really case by case. If you want to spend a lot on flowers, you absolutely can and WILL. I personally am not even thinking about how much I'm spending on flowers because it's not that important to me and I'll figure it out when I get there. I do know some people who budget $2000-$10000 (!!) for flowers. It's really about your personal priorities!

Same with limos. If you need a large stretch limo, something fancy, all day, party bus - - it can run you over $1000. If you just need a couple towncars, you'll spend under $200 with tips.

Me and my FH are also paying for the whole thing!!!
But everything seems to be working out and we have found some great vendors!!

Also thinking about doing candles instead of flowers for centerpieces!

DJ & Photo prices are fairly accurate. Can't help with limos, but florists I got quotes $3000 and less, but that's going to depend on how many tables, bridesmaids, groomsmen, etc. you have. The bigger the party the more $$$. We budgeted in $3500 for flowers initially and I'm pleased to say that we came in under

Biggest piece of advice I can impart upon you with dealing with vendors is negotiate, negotiate, negotiate. You can usually get vendors to decrease cost and/or throw freebees in.
