I think if you can find a package for under $2K, that includes shooting with DSLR camera, HD, Blu rays, final edited video 45 mins to an hour, edited with Final Cut Pro it would be amazing but highly unlikely. We met with 8 different vendors and are booking with Kiss the Bride Films!

It depends how much you care about all the details..

I am getting this, and a dual edit (short version and then we can click to get the long version of certain scenes) and highlights, all raw footage, etc etc for not much more than $2K.

We're using Couped Up! Rob is AWESOME!

ETA: He's not going to shoot with a DSLR, that would just be silly!

A lot of videographers are using DSLR - it's a newer camera that actually produces amazing work. My videographer is using ti and his work is spectacular.

It's using a still camera to shoot video. I'd actually be kind of wary of this. I'd wonder why they don't have video specific equipment.

Re: HELP videographer

For a lot of videographers that are going for the cinematic feel, DSLR cameras are used by them. as well as a lot of independent film makers.

The following highlight was shot by a DSLR camera:

But everyone has their own taste :) For us, we really wanted the cinematic look/feel and our videographer captures that.

I mean i guess it's good because of the narrow DoF you can achieve, but it's so limited in other areas.

But what's important is that YOU have a video YOU'RE happy with.
