im trying to figure out how much of a donation to do, we are hoping to do 2 charities one for Camp Adventure out east for kids w/ cancer, (in memory of my aunt) and one to the MS foundations for Fh's sister who is living with MS
i would really like to do something like this on a cookie and each cookie is about 3 each.
eta: the camp adventure will provide me w/ a child's picture that we would be supporting for them to go the camp, and iwould put there pic on the cookie along w/ a saying of thanks for sending me to camp, and then attach something to the cookie w/ some info about the organization
and for the MS, im might just use the MS logo
not sure what to do..any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
I would say $2 per guest, because thats probably the average favor cost, but thats JMO, i have no idea whats normal!

I would determine how much you're willing to spend per person besides the cookie and split it up accordingly amongst the organizations. That probably not much of a help but your budget is a big factor in this.

I'm doing a donation to just one charity... my budget allows for 3 bucks per person and, since I don't have a printer or a graphics program, I'll have to purchase some sort of stationery which says we made a donation. I'll probably donate around $2.50 per person. I know it's not much, but it's all we could afford.
ETA: how are you going to split up the cookies? Half of the cookies will be for one charity and half will be for the other?

Like,I guess what you could do is, say you're having 100 guests. You could donate half to one and half to the other and have 50 cookies for Camp Adventure and 50 cookies for MS and then every other guest will get the same charity. And then you can have a sign on each table that you donated to both charities. Donations don't have to be big. But I agree that the cookies and donations could get pricey.

GL!!! No matter how you end up doing it, donations are such thoughtful favors.

I like the cookie idea, maybe just include on a scroll that you also donated for MS - I dont think another favor is necessary.

Re: help w/ donation favor...
what about doing cookies but not iwth pics on them just simple cookies in a box and then writing the donation info on a nice card attatched to the box or something. That might be more cost effective

i wouldn't do two favors if i did that, i'd split them up...one cookie would be MS, the other camp advenure , and each guest would take just one of the cookies home

Re: help w/ donation favor...
Everyone spends a different amount on favors. We are spending 6 dollars per person on favors. Remember, with a donation your guests shouldn't know how much you spent. So, you need to go with the amount that is most comfortable for you.

Maybe you could do a tag with the kid's picture on one side and something representing the the ms on the other (do they have a colored ribbon for that? doesn't everyone?), I am doing a little bag of candy with a tag on it.
