help w/ place cards

How do you write guest names on place cards for those guests that have kids?
1) Mr. and Mrs. John Smith and family
2) Mr. and Mrs. John Smith and John Jr.
3) Mr. and Mrs. John Smith
John Jr. and Mary
4) Mr. and Mrs. John Smith (not mention kids)

I would say either Mr. & Mrs. John Smith & Family or The Smith Family.

Or.....you could give the kids their own card too, might make them feel special

Definitely couples together...separate and apart from the children....everyone else their own card.

i.e., Mr. & Mrs. John Smith
Mr. Jason Smith (for child)
