Help: What are acceptable forms of ID for Marraige License

We're going tomorrow. We each have a drivers licence, but NO passport.
What else can we bring as ID?
Thanks -- Liz

I think your social security card

FI and I both have a passport and we use that for everything so I dont really know what else is good for ID besides the passport and drivers license.

I believe you need two forms of id. If you don't have a passport bring your social security card or your birth certificate along with your drivers license.

I definitley have my birth certificate, but I'm not sure where my ssn card is.
I guess I have to check my safe deposit box.

I'm also going to get my marriage license tomorrow. We're bringing our original birth certificates and drivers license.

They need your birth certificate...an SS card isn't considered I.D.....

Liz definatly look into getting a passport though. You may not be leaving the country but its good to have as another form of ID when you need to present ID for certain things.

I hate having to use my birth certificate and I have to always ask my mom for it and I am so afraid of losing it. When FI and I went to cancun we took it as the perfect opportunity to get the passports.

It definatly comes in handy as a form of ID (if I have something waiting for me at the post office and FI is picking it up for me he has to show his ID and ID of mine - so he uses my passport, when I had to fill out paperwork for a temp job my mom has my SS card so I used my passport and thats all I needed. It was one of those bring drivers license and SSC or just the passport. My mom has my SS card so it was just easier to use my passport)

All you need to do is go to the post office (not all do this so you would have to ask) and get the form for a passport. Fill it out, then go back to the post office where you got it and hand it in with all the info they requested (money order, 2 passport sized pictures, birth certificate. They keep it and when they mail you your passport you'll get it back)

Liz we went to Hempstead & used our Birth certificates with raised seal and our drivers license.
We didn't need our SS card but you had to know the number.

The feel was $25

I just went last week and we were going to go to town hall right in my town, but FI forgot birth cert and he just moved upstate so he really couldnt get it. So we had to go to the main one in Babylon....They are soooooo nasty. he called befor hand to tell them he only had a navy id and lic she said that should be fine and wouldnt give her name. Well when we got there it was a whole different story ... they said we could not have been told that... but after a beeing rud back to them they got the town clerk and she said it was fine so if you go there try to make sure you have your birth cref and lic....and dont go on your luch break!! good luck...
