I am having white pillar candles as my centerpieces and am scattering rose petals around them. My dilemma is that I don't know what color to use. The girls dresses are navy, their bo-k's will be white hydrangea with some blue delphinium and my bo-k is going to be blue hydrangea with some white accent. I have no idea what color to use for the rose petals.
I have included a link to a website that sells silk petals (which is what I am using) and it has a bunch of different colors. I was thinking maybe the light blue but don't know if that would look cheesy. Any opinions would be appreciated. TIA!!!
I think light blue. White is nice also and elegant but if the candles are already white and the table linnens are white.. it might all blend in

Re: What color rose petals?
I'm not a big fan of died flowers, personally. What about a pale pink or pale purple? My girls are wearing navy as well and that's what they'll be carrying - I think it goes nicely with your blue theme.

Thanks for your feedback. I ordered some samples so I'll see what they look like in person soon.

Personally I think you should pick a color that is natural to the flower. I've never seen blue rose petals.
With that said, I think a shade of pink would be beautiful with what you described.
I agree!

I actually orderd almost all of them but since you can only order 6 colors at a time, I used FH, my mom and my sister's names and addresses too.

Re: What color rose petals?
I am bumping this because I am still at a loss. I received the samples and I really like the light blue and it looks good next to the candles but I'm not sure how it will look on 20 tables. I was thinking that even though there aren't any blue roses, I am using blue hydrangea - so they can kind of be played off as silk hydrangea petals. I don't know. Should I just go with red to add a different color contrast? .

Re: Help - What color rose petals?
I think red is too much of a contrast. Either do the blue or if you want something more natural go w/ a yellow. Yellow and blue go very nice together.

I don't think red would work at all. I definately think blue would go well. If you're worried about too much blue, I saw blue and yellow, which would be nice, or maybe even blue and white?

Re: Help - What color rose petals?
definitely the pale yellow if you ask me! either that or accept the fact that you know blue roses do not exist but like the color of the pedals just the same!

I personally would like the red best I think, but only if it were being used elsewhere in your wedding, which it's not. With that being said, I think the light blue would probably work nicely and it seems like that's what you've liked from the beginning.

Re: Help - What color rose petals?
I like the Mixture of the light blue, blue and navy. all shades of blue or maybe just light blue and white, or i would also consider the blue and the ivoryw/yellow. that would look nice but i really think you need color in the petals.
