Does anyone know the benefits of having dual coverage. Or, if there are any drawbacks to this.

When you say dual health coverage are you talking about about having a primary and secondary insurance like being covered through your job's health insurance plan and your husband's plan?

dual coverage is when you have two insurances, one under your name (primary) one under a husband ( secondary)...It is only good if you have a PPO policy where you may go out of network to see a dr. and then want a secondary insurance to pick up what the first doesnt...but again both polices would have to be PPO's for that...If you have an HMO as primary it makes no sense to have a secondary unless the secondary is the PPO and you may in the future need to go out of network and your HMO would deny it....
