For a lot of different reasons my parents will not be at my wedding.....2 very special people(who are I consider my family) who were there for me when no one else was..will 'play' the role of my 'parents' on my wedding day. My question is....how should the DJ introduce them when they walk in and what about father/daughter dance??? Any thoughts???

no...she was my coworker that became sort of like a 2nd mom to me....her and her husband gave me a place to live when my parents wouldn't help me out!!

I would just have the dj say 'Two very important people in the birdes life...mr and mrs...'
If you'd like to dance with this person for the 'father/daughter dance' He can say the same thing...a very special dance...
The dj's usually know how to word things.. Im sure they've seen all types of situations.. ] Good luck

What about introducing them like your second set of parents?
Something like 'The brides very special friends who are like her parents.'

As far as the dance goes...the DJ should just say... and now Mary will be joined by Mr Jones for a very special dance.
As for the introductions...they should just say.... now everyone welcome the very special Mr and Mrs Jones.
I'm guessing because these people are such an important part of your life most of the guests know who they are right?

Yeah..everyone who is invited pretty much knows the whole situation...just was getting a little stressed about the whole thing...thanks for your help!!
