Help.. When do I dance to our wedding song? First dance or spotlight dance?
Okay... We are going to take dance lessons to learn how to dance to our wedding song.. I was assuming this would be our first dance right after we are introduced. But I just realized they usually invite the parents and bridal party to join in. I want it to be just us for the entire song. I didn't plan on having a spot light dance. Therefore is it cheesy to have the first song just be us and than have another song played and invite our parents, bridal party and everyone to eventually join us during the second song? What are your thoughts. I am confused!

I don't think that's cheezy at all. it's your wedding, you can do whatever you want. You just have to work it out with the band/dj.

That's what we are doing- the first dance is ours, then everyone will join us. If you are using a band, you might want to have a dry run before you go out there make sure everyone is on the same pace.

I was thinking of doing that too...
