Hi all! I'm newly engaged and want to jump right into planning as my FH and I are looking into an Oct 2015. I don't want to spend my entire life's savings on a wedding though! Does anyone have any suggestions or quotes for places in Suffolk County? It seems like we need to book something ASAP I just don't know where to begin...

Congrats and welcome! I felt the same way you did, not wanting to break the bank but still have a beautiful wedding. Make a list of what you are looking for- one wedding at a time, the feel and atmosphere of the location you are looking for. One way to save money is to check into some all inclusives. I know east wind does this and a few of the Lessings venues does this now as well. Check out their website under weddings. I have quotes for timber point, which is a Lessings venue. Let me know if you want me to send it to you
Also, think about if you are flexible on the date of your wedding. April-October is in season and you will pay more then November-March. Fridays and Sundays are cheaper then Saturday nights.

Congratulations!! That's very exciting, check out The Watermill, East Wind and Larkfield Manor. Some of my friends got good deals from those places!! Good Luck.

If you are on a budget (as I am) definitely recommend you to look into East Wind (they offer an all inclusive package). Sunset Harbour in Patchogue is probably the most affordable venue you will find! Its very pretty and right by the water. Watermill is also beautiful and can be budget friendly (we had to move our date from Sept to Jan to afford it though).
Good luck!!

Thank you ladies! All of this info is extremely helpful. I can't wait to go check some places out. I was trying to avoid East Wind as I have been to 3 family weddings there in the past 2 years, but it is a nice option. Do you know of any other all inclusives??

we planned our wedding in the exact same time frame and got a great quote for smithtown landing country club for the month of october. my pricing would be different than yours so i wouldnt give you a quote since theyre a year apart, but i would definitely give them a call!

If you call the main line for Lessings they will give you quotes over the phone. They have all of their venues listed. Most of them are very reasonable. I can't remember off hand which ones do all inclusive.

I found the best way to stay on a tight budget was all inclusive package venues! the only ones in Suffolk that aren't the east wind are Windows on the lake, beach club estates, Mediterranean manor, miller place inn Brentwood country club, west sayville mansion I heard stonebridge country club does one noow too but I'm not sure. there is a bunch in Nassau county too. if u dont want all inclusive def check sunset harbour!

look into the Lessing's venues. We are on a tight budget an Smithtown Landing Country Club gave us a great pp quote. They also have all-inclusive options. The Riviera and Swan Club had good quotes for next fall, so I would look into those also. Good Luck with the search!
