My FH and I are not big on flowers, so we are opting to do our own centerpieces - 3 vases with floating candles and dendrobium orchids, with petals and votives on the table.
I need some help with reviews on wholesale online florists (esp. if ordered orchids!). There are so many out there and with such varied reviews, I'm finding it hard to make a decision! Help!
PS - we ordered our vases and candles through Amazon from Quick Candles - SO inexpensive, and they arrived in 2 days! Very pleased with the look and how they packaged everything. Very professional!

I am doing something similar for the centerpieces. I was going to order them online, but when I went to florists (for personal flowers) I asked them how much the orchids would be and the prices were lower than what I was seeing online.

Really! I am going to ask my florist how much the flowers themselves will be. Thanks! A dear friend of mine does wedding planning as a side business out of state, and she is willing to do the labor. When I had priced the whole piece out with the florist, it was too much for my taste for some vases, water, a flower and candles.

do you have a pic of what you plan to do? in general, orchids are very expensive flowers - not sure you will be able to get them cheaply
you could also try just a local floiwer shop in your neighborhood - they may give you better pricing since they are prob a smaller company

I am having my DOCs do it for me, which they said would be included in their price. All of the florists I have spoken with have said I would need between two and three bunches for 10-12 tables. I have been quoted anywhere from $20-$100 a bunch. HTH
