Does anyone have any good tips on how to get them off, preferably in a painless way? I've already tried soaking them in nail polish remover and that didnt work. I dont want to go to the nail salon b/c I feel like they'll just rip them off and it will hurt so much!

Re: HELP with acrylic nails!!!
Make sure your nail polish remover is is pure acetone, not your normal remover.. CVS has it...Bottom shelf
you also should soak in the acetone for like 15 minutes.. while Filing or buffing most of it off..

Go to a salon, I had mine done today, it wasn't bad. Plus, they can make them look somewhat decent once the acrylics are gone.

Re: HELP with acrylic nails!!!
i would soak them at a salon or they can just remove them, if they are old its easy to just take them off...then they can file your nails and remove the glue gunk and even them out...

Re: HELP with acrylic nails!!!
Fully remove your nail polish and then soak them in Pure Acetone Nail polish remover for 15 mintues, run them under hot water..( not too hot..lol) and it should be better than ripping them off yourself! As tempted as you are Don't do it!!! I made that mistake once and got a bad infection!!!

Re: HELP with acrylic nails!!!
you should also cut the fake nails as low as possible before you soak...and you will prob need to soak in pure acetone for like 30-45 minutes, and about every 15 minutes file and buff some of the acrylic off....if you go to a salon, they will do that...it may be better to go to the salon, its like only 8 bucks to get them taken off

Re: HELP with acrylic nails!!!
If you can find a way to warm up the acetone without blowing up, you can soak for about a half hour. Then take a card thats thin (like a Metro card)and slide them under any opening in the acrylic. HTH

Re: HELP with acrylic nails!!!
Make sure your nail polish remover has acetone, that will lift the glue. Regular nail polish remover will just remove the nail polish.
