Anyway, I bought these favor boxes from Oriental Trading which are really cute but the quality of the glue when you put them together (they come unfolded) sucks. I tried glue dots but they leave a bump. I tried regular craft glue but that makes the cardboard bubbly (although maybe I put too much). Any other suggestions???

Stick glue? You can make a thinner spread of glue with those

I agree... Old fashioned, little kid glue sticks are definitely the way to go.

Are they the double hearted favor boxes where you can put candy inside them? I just ordered them too and got them a couple of days ago. I haven't tried the adhesive part yet but I also doubt that it will stick well. I'm sure we will figure it out.

At michaels they sell a two sided double tape roller that is used for scrapbooking. Try that, super adhesive and does not create a bump

They're the fall favor boxes with leaf cutouts. But I'm sure all of the adhesive is the same. I guess since they are so cheap I can't be too upset!!

So the glue sticks didn't work. I think it's the material of the boxes that's the problem. One side is like shiny so the glue isn't adhering. I just ordered double sided tape so I'll let you know how that goes.
