Help with Alterations

Help with Alterations

I have a bunch of questions regarding alterations. I'm having so much anxiety and I feel desperate. Please help me!!

So many of the bridal salons, even reputable ones, have bad reviews when it comes to alterations. So that being said, how much does it cost to have the alterations done separate from purchasing the gown? And are their any recommendations for seamstresses?

Also, How are the alterations and what are the prices like for alterations at these places:

-My daughter's wedding in great neck
-Alexandra boutique in forest hills
-Lillettes in bellmore
-Village bridal in babylon
-RK Bridal in manhattan

I need help. Do I go through the place itself or look outside? And how much would it run me both ways? I am very short and will need a lot done.

You didn't list this bridal shop, but I know that Fantasia Bridal in Rocky Point has received rave reviews for their alterations. I purchased my gown in CT and I plan on having it altered at Fantasia. I know that you can get your gown altered there even if you didn't purchase through them. I'm not sure of the exact price because I haven't contacted them yet..but they are worth looking into!
