HELP WITH ! Apartment for Rent in Forest Hills ?

Does anyone know of an apartment for rent in forest hills ? I am looking for anything near the 75th street station, 71st Continental Avenue Station, or 67th Street Station but has to have parking (street or otherwise).

I know this isn't exactly wedding planning but I have to move out in two weeks and I don't have a place yet ! :( In the meantime, I still have to plan a wedding and take engagement photos next Friday. So stressed. HELP !

We just moved out of Forest HIlls in April. We lived in a Building called the Winthrop on 108th st between 68 & 69- just a few blocks away from the 71st st trains.

I don't know if there are any apartments left there but there are usually postings on craigslist. We worked witha realtor from Krahm (I think that 's how you spell it) Realty

I live in Parker Towers. If you want to rent a unit there, let me know because I can get a rental credit for recommending someone!

There is a garage underneath but we always just park on the street. It is on the corner of Queens and Yellowstone, so really close to 71st and 67th subways.

Oh and I should also mention that it is owner managed so no brokers fees.

Have you checked Craigslist?

Also - call building management and ask if they have apartments available.

In addition, try the Queens Penny saver. They always have apt listings in Queens.

I live by 75th but I own and you'd have to pass board. My old building around corner is through management so pply no fee.

Re: HELP WITH ! Apartment for Rent in Forest Hills ?

Hi Ladies:

Thank you so much for all your responses ! Interestingly enough, this is not a wedding post but generated the most response I've ever gotten with questions. Funny....

We went to Parker Towers and I didn't really like it. The complex was too big for me. I grew up in forest hills and I really do not want to leave :(. I currently live in a small 6 floor apartment and I LOVE IT.

I would like a large one bedroom with high ceilings if possible. Decent size bathroom, and kitchen. The other thing is that we need parking in the area or an affordable parking spot and a decent (not scary) laundry room. So far we've seen $1500 for a one bedroom but a one month broker fee and 250 a month for parking. Then gas and electricity is not included - so this is about $2000. a month. Not the best deal when you are trying to pay for a wedding. I'm also in need of the apartment by the second week of JUNE latest. I have no problem passing the board as I had to do so for my current apartment. I've looked everyday like 4 times a day on craigslist. I've also searched the nytimes. I'd like to avoid broker fees too....I know I'm asking for a lot but I was able to find my current place without broker fees and with the owner and I LOVE MY APARTMENT !

Thanks again for all your responses.
