Help with bridesmaid colors!

Ladies - I need help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dress is champagne with a blush overlay.
I wanted to put the girls in Jim Hjelm dresses in the color 'Petal'. I received the sample and I went to Bridal Reflections to try on BM dresses with my MOH and Petal is almost peachy...

Will this clash with the blush overlay!?!?!?
I am planning on wearing the overlay for the ceremony and taking it off for the reception - which leaves me in champagne...but...will it clash?

Some of the girls brought up having them wear blank - which, I'd be okay with if my wedding wasn't a day wedding...however, it WOULD be okay with my venue...

Help!!! LOL

Thank you!

Help with bridesmaid colors!

I personally don't think black would look good with the blush and champagne. Since they are light colors you should probably stick with other light colors. Maybe mint/light green or light/pale blue?

It may clash.. You won't know for sure until you see them together though which sucks. I really like that pic with the pale blue bridesmaids! I agree black would be too dark for a day wedding.

Is that the petal color in the bm dress? If so I personally think it clashes.

Definitely need another color for the bridesmaids. Your dress and their dresses are elegant and beautiful. Really like the pale blue and I'm sure a light mint green would work as well.

Help with bridesmaid colors!

I originally wanted to do Dusty Shale from JCrew but the long dresses are $365. :( I really don't like any other greenish colors because they're too MINTY.

I almost wanted to put the girls in white and call it a day! LOL

I don't really love blue...ughhhh.
And the guys are wearing grey...so I didn't want to have it be too monochromatic.

I'm annoying, I know.

Lol. You're not annoying. You know what you like and what you don't like. The dusty shale is a very pretty though. Can you find another dress with that color or similar to it?

LOL - thank you. I am stressing myself out and honestly - everything else has been soooo easy up to this point! Grrr.

I may just have to go to Bridal Reflections myself and take a look. I really need a sample of my dress to compare. I think I'll call Kleinfeld today to see if that's possible.

Thank you girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Help with bridesmaid colors!

You could do different shades of gray for the BM/GM. We are doing gray dresses and originally wanted gray tuxes but I have since changed my mind to black tuxes so the BP won't be a giant gray blob. But I think of you do them a few shades off from another and use bright flowers in bouquets it would look pretty!

Help with bridesmaid colors!

My MOH tried on that color dress from Jim Hjelm and my dress is off-white, it was too light of a color. I didn't want her to have a dress that light but that's my opinion. We went with Rose color in Jim Hjelm

Yeah, I think those may be too close color-wise and could clash, or be too similar! I'd say a grey or a pastel blue or purple would match best but still set you apart.

Help with bridesmaid colors!

I like the lightness of it - as we're really trying to have a soft tone to the wedding and colors we choose.

I'm thinking the different shades of gray may work...
Then I'm stuck on just going with black and doing all white flowers...
Then I'm thinking that if the blush overlay is ONLY on during my ceremony - why not just go with the Petal color?

See? I'm annoying! LOL

I agree...I think the the grey will look nice and you could use pops of color in their bouquet.
