I am having a butterfly theme at my wedding. I am finding that most of the decor i have in mind looks more like its meant for a sweet sixteen...
Help me come up with ideas that will make the theme more grown-up & sofisticated.
A little background... My 'Tablescape': Oblong tables, pearl pink runner over white linen table cloth. The chairs will have black sashes. Low centerpieces of Hydrangeas & Roses. Tea lights and rose petals scattered.
Things left to do: Programs, Table Numbers/Names, Favors packaging (i am giving wine bottles), Bathroom Baskets, Isle Runner

hmm- You can do a butterfly on the invites..in the backround, like a monogram even.
You can also try and find butterflies to put in the cps that match your black and pink theme. Either online or craft stores.
A bo-k jewel w/ a butterfly and maybe a rhinestone butterfly comb or clip for your hair
I saw butterfly unity candle holders on celticcandle.com if you are doing a unity candle
your FG can wear butterfly wings when whe walks down the isle
ETA- i didnt read the whole post before..haha
you probably have all that stuff already
you can incorporate the butterly in pink and black on davor tags and all
I dont think black and pink is like a sweet 16. its very popular for weddings and classy

I too love butterflies and plan on incorporating them somehow.. I happend to come across a site the other day that has links for pretty much anything butterflies that you could dream up.. Check it out!

I got butterfly petals off of ebay, and they look amazing. They look better in person then they do on the internet. Everyone is raving about them.

hmmm not yet after my wedding this weekend i can send you some...they are at the hall right now. If you go on ebays website....youc an put butterfly petals in the search box and it should come up!!!! They really are awesome...

I don't know if this helps but a couple of years ago i went to a wedding where they had feather butterflies in the centerpieces....just a thought
how about for table numbers you can use a different species of butterfly for each one
I like this idea. When throwing ina theme you dont wnat to overdo it. Just do touches like butetrflies in bouquets-in your flower girl's hair in lieu of traditional flowers. After the wedding if you DIY your ty's, incorporate them their as well. You can also put fake butterflies inside of your centerpiece arrangements. Find a ring bearer pillow with it. When we did our garden gerbers theme, we mainly used the bright colod of the flowers everywhere; the BM, dresses, our linens, etc and then put gerbers in places like the BM's hair, on our cardbox and our invites.
