Help With Catholic Confirmation Question

Does anybody else here have to make confirmation before the wedding?

I do... and I'm getting really nervous... I haven't heard anything yet about it... does anybody know when this typically starts?

I have nightmares that they forgot about me and didn't call me to do it and then we have a problem getting married at the alter.... I'm so scared!

I don't...but you don't have anything to worry about. Just call your church to find out the information so that you do get it taken care of before the wedding.

I feel the same way about pre-cana...like they are going to forget us!

You want to check w/ the church in regards to the classes. I have to do my confirmation and I have to take RCI i think it stands for rite to christian initiation...its a 6 mos class.

Check w/ your church for options.

I got a call months and months ago saying that they have my name... and then a couple weeks ago at church some people were introduced to us and it seemed like they were either converting or getting confirmed and that's when I started freaking out.

I didn't know if there was a normal time that they do this - like every year on such and such a date...

I guess I'll call tomorrow... :(

I was told February. However the priest is trying to see if since I am a cath school teacher and I almost made confirmation twice before two family issues, i can make it shorter. It may run till June :)

Ok so I guess there is hope for me.. if they started w/out me maybe I can just go to another parish or something.... thanks. I'm still calling to check up tomorrow haha.

I think confirmation usually occurs in april or may, but that may only be as a child when done through CCD.

yeah this can only be done once a year so I would just call to make sure...not to freak you out, but it's better to stay on top of it. HTH!
