Help with coordinating colors?
Any brides out there have a beige (non white, not ivory) dress? I just bought my dress and it has a 'cafe au lait' top and the bottom is a ivory lace overlay over the 'cafe au lait' color (it's still very light, think if you put a lot of cream in your coffee). I'm worried my original thought of guys in light grey suits and girls in navy bridesmaid dresses isn't going to look good anymore (and by me, I actually mean my mom and my grandma). Anyone have a beige wedding dress? What colors are you putting your wedding party in? For those of you brides with great style (I know you're on here) suggestions are welcome!

I think you can still have the girls in Navy dresses, but i'm not sure about the guys in grey, it may look blah. Are you opposed to guys in Black? I too have navy bridesmaid dresses and my guys are just wearing black tuxes with white shirt,no vest. I think the part of having to coordinate the guys to the girls throws people off, I hate the way a navy vest would have looked so that is why I am not doing it.

Thanks, emmac! I'm having a day wedding so, I was trying to keep the guys out of black to make things a little less formal. I lamented to my fiancé last night about this and he suggested the guys wear blue (think royal blue: http://typedemodele.tumblr.com/post/30797919600/monday-blues). But I am at a loss for what I would put my girls in. I want something to contrast with the girls and guys, not be me standing in a sea of blue ;)

My cousin had her girls in blue short dresses & the guys in gray suits with the matching blue tie & they looked great!

I think it will look good having the girls on navy and the guys in gray. Dot think about the color of your dress too much, even though its not white or ivory it's neutral enough that it will match everything. Also, your colors sound a lot like my sorority colors! Shout out to my sig delts in cafe au lait and old blue!!

I personally dont care for the way gray looks with beige. What about light brown suits for the guys? I think that would go well with a more casual daytime wedding.Something like this maybe....

I second the light brown/ tan suits for the guys. Perfect for a daytime wedding, and would go well with both the navy dresses and your beige gown.

definitely the light brown/tan suits! I think that would look so nice with the color of your dress, plus the moms can do dark brown, burgundy, or other dark Fall colored dressesnow for the bridesmaids, are you set on blue? Because since you're having a Fall wedding, I think doing the tan suits and having the girls in dark green would look nice: http://www.xoedge.com/ImageStage/Objects/0003/0035800/large_image.jpg
Or, tan suits and pink dresses:

Definitely (subject to any protest from the hubby-to-be) going with the light tan suits on the guys, thank you so so so much everyone!I'm going to see if I can find a blue dres that is still on the darker side but not quite navy. That green was amazing @cets1290! I think we just need to take a trip to the store along with a tan suit jacket!
