I've always struggled with break outs. This has left me with some dark spots on my back and sides of my shoulders. I'm wearing a strapless gown so this is something I'd like to work on resolving as much as possible by October.
Does anyone have any good remedies? I tried a lightening formula from a dermatologist in the past but it didn't work and irritated my skin.
As a last resort I guess I can have my makeup artist try to conceal the spots.

No I haven't, but I think I've seen the line in stores before. Which products from the line would you recommend? What type of improvements in dark areas have you experienced?

You should go to a dermatologist, they can recommend the best thing for your personal skin situation.

I SWEAR by Bio-Oil! Although it is an oil...it doesn't leave your skin oily.
Do some research and see if you like it. Now, just like with any other product, you will have to use it as directed for it to work.
Good luck!

I would have to say to ask a dermotologist for their opinion if you havent already done that.. If its not resolved by the time you need, maybe consider airbrushing the spots? Someone I know had all of her tattoos airbrushed so they wouldnt show with her gown own. I was shocked you couldnt even tell where they were so I guess airbrushing works pretty good

I have the same issue and my dermatologist gave me retin A. She said it will get rid of the acne and fade the dark spots. Its been working for me so far. If they are not toally faded my make up artist will cover it up for me

Thanks ladies. Since the first dermatologist didn't work for me, I've gotten a referral to another one. I'm also considering trying the Murad products. My mom said she uses them and really likes them. Thanks again!

Yeah i use Murad also but it can be very costly in the reguar stores-- so i went on Amazon and got a HUGE bottle for like $45 when normally it goes for $26 for a small small bottle!

Hyperpigmentation is the hardest thing to get rid of, especially on African American skin. Normally glycolic peels in addition to hydroquin will help the spots go away. Also glcolic facial wash helps speed up the cell turn over. Oracea is also suppose to be good at preventing the acne before it can have a chance to leave you with a dark spot.
