Help with DIY Card Box

How are you supposed to wrap the fabric around the boxes.

Mine looks like a present on the sides and I want it to be all one.

Are there directions any where.

I am at a loss with this.

My box was made out of wood (see album) I used a hot glue gun for most of it.....lots of burned fingers.....

i think to make it look like all one then you would have to wrap the fabric around it the other way.. and cut it to size. omg this is hard to explain.. idont know if you can follow me. hmm.. ok when you wrap a present.. the very 1st step.. where you just wrap the paper around the box.. do that.. but instead of leaving extra on the top and bottom.. cut it down to size. then wrap it the other way with the same technique. In my head that works out fine. then if you have any areas where you can see the fabric meeting..you can use a variety of things to cover it.. such as lace or a rope or any decoration really.
