I'm new to LI Weddings, however I've heard that all the brides here are very helpful-and I need a lot of help-the only thing my fiance and I have so far is the location. Like many of you we are paying for this ourselves and are looking for quality vendors at reasonable prices. Right now, we are looking for DJ, photographer and flowers. Any recommendations? For DJ/Photos/Video I had thought about 'the Pros', but someone just told me they are not recommended. Our wedding is a year away, but we are moving out of state in a couple months and I want to book our major vendors before we go-hence my stress...

First of all, welcome. In tems of suggestions, it really depends on your budget. there are so many different vendors in this site, so you shouldn't have a problem. The most popular photographers are duet, twelfth night, silverfox to name a few. If you want to hear about what other people have to say, you should look in the bride's review board. Congrats and happy planning.
