help with flower quote

I went for my first florist appt today at Burton's. I don't want to spend more than $1500. I really only want to spend $1000 but don't think that is possible. ANy tips on getting it cheaper?

Is this a good quote:

1 MOH boq
5 BMs boq
Bride Bog
2 corsages for mother
2 corsages for grandmothers
groom flower
2 best men flowers
5 gm flowers

18 low pieces (any flowers I want)

Includes delivery
petals on tables

$1875

I really don't want to spend this much. blaaaaah hate flowers.

Burtons will usually quote you on the low end, so I don't think you'll find THAT much lower than their quote. It stems from the fact that you need so many centerpieces. Really the only way to get around this is to either DIY or not use flower centerpieces.

i don't know on that one.

you have 2 more boks than me, but i have 3 more bouts, and you have 6 more CP's (mine are high and low though). i also have a gazebo decorated, candles, and petals. i'm at $2k.

i went for $$$$ flowers too though.

i'd say check out Verbena in Hicksville and see what Jenn says. She's such a doll and easy to work with

If I don't use flowers, I'll still have to buy candles and vases/glassware and that will add up right?? It's annoying that I have sooo many people!!! I don't even care about flowers.

I know nothing about flowers so not sure how I can DIY. My aunt does some flower work, so my mom is going to see if she might be able to put something together.

You have some more things (high, gazebo, candles) and for only a couple hundred more?!!! I thought Burton's was cheap!? I'll check them out. Thanks. She was saying it's $1 for each votive.The low CP can include candles though. I liked the hurricane one with flowers around it.
