help with Groom's gift

I am having so much trouble deciding on a Groom's gift. i want to get FH something that will last forever (or at least a long time) and is maybe a little sentimenatl. I don't want to get him something technologyish that would be obsolite next year or something that could just as easily be a birthday gift.

I was thinking of this watch


I like that I can put our picture in it and I can have it engraved. Only thing is FH doesn't wear a watch maybe he'd start?

So then I was thinking of having an plaque made for our house, like this

I'm really leaning towards teh name plaque - what do you guys think?

I think the plaque is an awesome idea! And I think I just may steal it from you for my FH!! If he doesn't already wear a watch, then I wouldn't get the watch for him. It would be a waste!! Where did you find the plaques!! FH and I are buying a new house so it would be perfect for him!!

I am so excited!! We are waiting to get our closing date. I am hoping for Aug. 1st. A whole 45 days before the wedding! But who cares! It's a house!! Yay!!
