Help with interfaith officiant maybe Cantor Bennedict

We are getting married in February. We were going to have a priest and a rabbi. The rabbi is a friend of the family (his grandaughter is actually the flowergirl). We just found out he was diagnosed with cancer and begins chemo shortly. He does not want us to rely on him for the services because he is unsure how his condition will be. Now we have 4 months to find another rabbi or cantor. A number of friends have mentioned cantor Bennedict to me. Does anyone have any information or a contact number for him? Does anyone know of anyone else?

I have a rabbi you can call

I am also having an interfaith wedding and am using a rabbi/priest tag team and they are great. Rabbi Jerry Heller is a fabulous guy and is most likely booked but definitely worth a try - 914-624-1691. Good luck and sorry to hear about your rabbi's condition.

He was the cantor in my temple

Cantor Benedict was the cantor in my Temple (Temple Israel) for well over 30 years.(he has since retired) He has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. I would defintely recommend him! He Bar and Bat Mitzvahed my brother and sister. The whole congregation was so sad when he left.
