help with memorial candle saying

i want to get a memorial candle for some of my passed relatives and my FH's passed relatives...grandmas, grandpa, uncle, aunts...there's about 5 people i think. i want to add all the names to the candles plus a saying but my FH doesn't want to add the names b/c he's like 'i dunno who to add or keep off or how to write their names' (one of his grandpa's died before he was born and that grandpa's wife passed a few years ago and then his godfather/great uncle's wife is passed.) so he's just like 'i dont know...or we dont have to do name'

but i want to b/c i think if we just have one candle and a saying like the one here i don't know if people will think its just for one person or not?

but anyway, i've asked him a couple of times about this and he's not budging so i guess we'll just get it without names...but i was wondering what sayings people have put on their memorial candles?

thanks! sorry so long!

Re: help with memorial candle saying

this is what my memorial candle says

we're putting it on a table by itself and with some 4x6 frames of pics of people we've lost

Though your smile is gone forever,
And your hands we cannot touch,
Still we have so many memories,
Of the ones we loved so much.
Your memory is our keepsake,
With which we'll never part,
God has you in his keeping,
We have you in our hearts.
Although we cannot see you,
We know that you are here,
Smiling down,
Watching over us
As we say 'I DO'.
Forever in our hearts
Forever in our lives
And so we say our vows
In loving memory of you

You could also do something like this

Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

In loving memory of those who
cannot be with us today.

I used this in a frame with a dozen roses

Where Roses Grow
If roses grow in heaven, please pick a bunch for us
Place them in their arms and tell them they’re from us.
Tell them we love and miss them and when they turn to smile
Place a kiss upon their cheek and hold them for a while.
Remembering them is easy, we do it every day
But there’s an ache within our hearts because were missing them today.

The poem I have is...

Though we can't see you
We know you are here
Smiling down
Watching over us
As we say 'I do'
Forever in our lives
And so we say our vows
In loving memory of you
