help with parents gift

hey ladies

am looking for some help - my parents are paying for our weding and i want to give them a super/special/nice gift.

they do not like to travel (otherwise i would have gotten them a weekend getaway) any ideas?

We got the moms a pretty piece from Swarovski.

How much do you want to spend?

How about theater tickets and a gift certificate to a restaurant?

If they don't want to go into the city there is always Westbury Music Fair and the Tilles Center.

How about a very nice frame for your wedding photo?

MY Dad is handicapped and can't go out on his own. FH and I are going to get him tickets to a baseball game and dinner before hand. We'll also take him.

Do they have any hobbies at all? Are your parent's into more practical gifts or not?

One of my friend's mom's wanted to sell her house but was overwhelmed with painting and fixing it up for the sale, she also really likes practical gifts, so my friend and her husband helped out with that.

i am getting my parents a double frame, one picture will be or my fiance and i when we were kids transposed into us wearing bridal gear and a picture of them on the other side as kids in bridal gear. there is a great website where they take baby pictures and put them together in a tux and a brides gown. they are so nicely done. if you wanrt the adress let me know.

thanks for all of the suggestions.... all of your ideas helped alot.....

we are clueless on what to give my parents since they have been soooooo generous to Mike and i with our wedding...

i want it to be a nice gift - which is why i would love to give them a weekend trip away but they really dont like to travel much and already have a home in the poconos.

We bought our parents Lenox frames for our wedding photo, the protrait for the frame, and a ncie bottle of champagne, plus I bought my parents handkerchiefs with a special poem.
