Help with pricing at Flowerfield

Hi,

I am new to this board and I am hoping you ladies can help me. I am interested in having a daytime reception in August 2005 at Flowerfield. Their listed price is $120/pp for a minimum of 140 guests. We expect about 200 people will attend. I am hoping to negotiate a lower price. Any negotiation advice would be much appreciated! Thanks so much!

Hi and Welcome.

We were quoted with tax and gratuity much more than that for Augusut 2005. (We weren't talking about having any extras yet either in our first couple of visits) they wanted about $220- 250 a head. They're not very flexible. It's a gorgeous place, but we fell in love with Giorgios.

the more people you have ....i think each 50 people the price goes down like $5 per person

you have to guarantee iit so you pay for what you guarantee BUT LOVIN OVEN does not negotiate... they are worth every penny!!!!!
the food and service is out of this world but good luck
many places did not negotiate for a saturday night but maybe for an afternoon wedding

I know you are a fellow Land's End Bride! But I have to disagree with you about Loven Oven not negotiating. Everyone negotiates. We were able to get a few 'extras' when we booked Land's End as well as adjusting the minimum amount and per head a bit. Also another thing about Loven Oven that is 'cute', is that there peak season doesn't start until June 1 so you can get a lower per head price even up to May 31, 2005. SO if you are not set on a date yet that might be another consideration. Good Luck

i actually found them to be quite flexible. We didn't go with them only due to distance. We got them down in price by guaranteeing more then the minimum. I think they went down $5 per head for every 25 people you went over their minimum.

They also were going to discount the vienese hour for us. Just ask. Florinda is who we worked with and she was a sweetie.

Just ask them--at worse they tell you know but you'll never know unless you ask. also i think they were going to waive the tax if you pay in cash.

They were not negotiable with us but we were quoted a great price so there was no need. They do like to throw in extras though
