help with room blocks!

does anyone have experience with the following?

-Holiday Inn (hauppague?) its $139/night
- Wingate (commack) its $119/night shuttle and breakfast included!
- Marriot (ronkonkoma--expressway) $129/night

Are you talking about the Marriot or the Marriot Courtyard? $129 was the price I got for the Courtyard. I used to put people up at the Marriot Courtyard for work. I didn't like it but I heard they re-did it since then. I still chose not to use them for two reasons, I needed about 30 rooms and they would only guarantee the price for 20 and they charge you to keep the bar open late.

I almost went with the Holiday Inn. The woman was very nice there and the hotel was nice. It has a great bar and a big pool outside. I couldn't believe how big that hotel is.

Did you go look at the rooms? I went to look at all the hotels I called. They are very accommodating about showing you rooms if you call and make an appointment.

The Marriot in Islandia gave me $149, which is also the price I ended up with for the Hyatt, though that took a lot of negotiating. I am using the Hyatt Windwatch.

how far in advance did u girls block your rooms?

I made sure my rooms were blocked before the invitations were sent out, so 2-3 months before the wedding.
