ok i need a tan fast. i really don't like going to them & have only gone once a long time ago. i am very confused with all the different beds etc. does anybody have any recommendations on which salon to go to and what bed to use? I am not looking for tan that looks like i went away. just looking for a nice healthy glow but i do want people to notice. last time i went i got a little claustrophic, i felt like i was in a coffin i was really psyched to go to beach bum. they had something that you tan in a lounge chair. it didn't seem too constraining. but none of the ones by my house (fresh meadows & bayside) have it
this was the best bed i was eer in.. great tan.. color that looks natural.. yeah its $$ but it was WELL worth it... did not burn no nothign bad... great and not clostrophobic AT all

help i need a tan in 2 1/2 weeks
theres a beach bum by me on queens blvd which isnt far from you and yes they have beds now that you dont pull down the top at all and you have alot of room. The diamond bed is good bc its a bronzer.
this was the best bed i was eer in.. great tan.. color that looks natural.. yeah its $$ but it was WELL worth it... did not burn no nothign bad... great and not clostrophobic AT all

i go to ultimate tanning in oceanside (thanks to a recommendation from one of you lovely ladies!) I love the stand up booths. I've been going twice a week for just about 3 weeks now and i love my tan. It looks very natural.

it tanned every nook and cranny!

theres 2 of them on queens boulevard, one is right by 71st ave and queens blvd which is right by austin...theres a big commerce on the corner and its 2 doors down. Theres also another one on queens blvd close to the union tpke train station, and you know where the ballys is? its further down though go towards the lower aves

oh god yes, the first few times i was like UGH how am i going to stop this until i was like OH wait ill put the small towel underneath me lol, couldve saved the trouble

You can also try Hollywood Tans, they are really good. I use the weakest bed and still get great color. They are all stand up beds though. Its $19.99 a month unlimited tanning.

I was in the same situation. I hadn't gone tanning in years and also didn't want to go, but because I was in a bridal party recently and was wearing strapless dresses I wanted to get rid of my tan lines. I went to Beach Bum and paid wayyyy tooo much money for 1 session and you could still see my tan lines. I went into the titanium (strongest bed) for $32. I wanted to do the spray tan, but Beach Bum wanted $45 for 1 session!!! Then the guy asked me if I was going to shave...I was like yessss...he goes oh well then I don't know how that is going to look. I did the titanium and it was a waist of money. If you're going to do it do it a few times and go into the less expensive beds because it looks the same in the end.
