For my e-party last summer we used Guy Anthony's. they are located in Merrick, but will cater to pretty much everywhere - they came about a 45 minute drive to my parents house with no extra fees or anything. They are an Italian restaurant, but our party was their 'Full BBQ Fun' menu. All of their prices are listed on their website HERE and range from $14.95 to $50 pp depending on what you want. You can have a cold buffet to a sit down dinner. They're worth checking out! Our food was sooo good at our party (and I'm not just saying that because I am very picky about what's 'good' and 'delish!'). We went to the restaurant for dinner before we booked to try out their food. We met with Guy himself and he comped everything except for the dinner itself!

My local italian place Emilio's in commack, ny (north shore suffolk county) does catering and is sooooo delicious! getting hungry just thinking about it.... try and give them a call.

I threw a backyard surprise party last year for my FH and I called almost every tent person out there and I finally found tent, tables and chairs for 60 people and I'm pretty positive it cost me $350.
All In the Family was the name of the company.

as for caterers... richie rays pizza not sure if they actually cater, like serve and stuff... but their food is AMAZING and they are located in deer park
um, our e-party was at the AOH in babylon (we're members) bill weiss was our caterer, my family has known him for like ever... (I used to dance at the hall). he doesn't have a website, but here's his info: Bill Weiss. 516-935-5970
his food is DELISH, and his prices are great! he's irish but makes AMAZING italian dishes (FHs family was RAVING about him.. and they all grew up in italy)

The tent company I used for my E party was Dynamic Entertainment.. They were awesome.. set up ahead of time and everything.. had linens, tables chairs etc.
