Help with Tux colors

Help with Tux colors

Need help. Ok so FH has to order his tux and we're torn on what we should go with.

My dress is ivory and my shoes are red satin. He is also going to be wearing red doc martens-very fun wedding but ironically he likes traditional suits and tuxes so he will be wearing black.

We are stuck on what color shirt/vest/tie combo he and the groomsmen should wear. We were thinking white shirt, red tie/red vest for him. But our best man think he shoulld wear white shirt ivory vest and tie. I think the red needs to be tied in more. What do you guys think?

Please just also let me know via your posted response also which groomsmen combo you think is better. Thanks!

Re: Help with Tux colors

Have FH and GMs wear the black tuxedo with the ivory tie and vest. If you could get everyone to wear red shoes that would be so cool. What is your Bridal Party wearing?

I dunno, I think it would be cool to keep the red restricted to your shoes. (Very cool idea, by the way ) colored ties and vests can sometimes be a bit difficult to pull off. Why not give them red boutenieres?

Re: Help with Tux colors

The whole wedding party is bright-girls are wearing red orange and pink dresses-same derss but all in a diff color with with silver sandals. My mom is wearing a coral dress. My FMIL is wearing this bright copper bronze color. Its not traditional whatsoever. They are wearing red outineeres but I'm afraid the white on ivory will look dead,

This is the bride who inspired me. She is from the knot-weezermonkey. Our colors are the same as hers but with red as well in addition to pink and orange. My girls will be wearing red, pink and orange. That is why I thought traditional tuxes but colored ties. No?

Re: Help with Tux colors

I think i would have fh in glack tux with ivory shirt, ivory vest and either ivory tie or red tie and shoes. then since all the girls are in different colors have the guys in like black tuxes white shirts and platinum verts and ties because that will look good no matter what the girls are wearing

Re: Help with Tux colors

Here's my 2 cents

I reallllly think your FH should be in Black tux, white shirt, ivory vest/tie. Red doc martens.
This is the best way to coordinate well with you. That way you guys match and coordinate, with the only difference with him being that he's wearing the black tux.

Now for the guys. I think you should have them coordinate with whichever girl they'll be walking down with.

So for the girl with the orange dress, the guy should wear black tux, black (or orange) vest, orange tie. Red flower or hot pink flower.

For the girl in the pink dress, the GM would wear black tux, black (or hot pink) vest, pink tie, red or orange flower.

etc.

I think it will really tie all the colors together VERY well. Good luck!

Yesi, always so helpful! LOL I was actually hoping you would put your two cents in lmao was considering PMing you and asking. I like this idea. My only problem is that we only have the best man and my brother up there-not doing the groomsmen so since Pete is wearing a red tie, should my brother wear an orange one let's say and the best man wear a pink one? What do you think?
