Help with tuxes!

Help with tuxes!

Hi!
FH was a best man at a wedding in May. I was so NOT IMPRESSED with men's warehouse tuxes. He tried it on the day before the wedding and the pants did not fit him at all...they looked like MC Hammer. and the jacket was HUGEEEE! He went back and they fixed it but it still wasn't perfect...for $180 you would think it would fit! And worst of all it was freaking polyester!

If your groomsmen are renting tuxes from them...make sure they try them on in the store!!

The groomsmen are in FL, GA, and NY so I guess we need a chain store...is Men's Warehouse the only place to go or what?! Any advice is welcome

THANK YOU

You could always have out of town guests go to a local tux store and call in their measurements to whatever shop you choose. To me it seems they are all overpriced and things never fit. Just make sure the guys pick up early so they could fix any mistakes in time. If you go to bridal shows, sometimes you could get cheaper rates.

Re: Help with tuxes!

Literally everyone I know who has used Men's Warehouse has had problems with them.

My best friend had one of her GM order his tux out of state and it fine, but another who had gone into the the store with the groom ended up getting his tux in the wrong color (dark grey instead of black). You couldn't really tell so much in person, but it really stands out in her pics.

One of FH's friends used them as well and didn't get a shirt with his tux, and he was the groom!

I'm not ruling them out yet, but if I do use them I'm going to tell our GM to be super careful about checking EVERYTHING multiple times.

ITA with this.. go somewhere local and just have the guys call in their measurements. because even if they live out of state, the rental is usually only 1-2 days and if they're coming in the day before and leaving the day after, thats a longer rental and they'd be paying more.

honestly, its never going to be a perfect fit, because they're rented, not owned...

Agreed. Pick a place with good customer service.

Another thing to do is avoid styles that are unflattering on people. Have some portly groomsmen? Then avoid things like shawl lapels, cummerbunds, and wing collars.
